Baseball Recap: Summit Takes a Loss

Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Page Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent defeat being a 15-2 loss on Tuesday.

Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Page, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit will square off against Franklin on Friday. As for Page, they will be playing at home against Tullahoma at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
