Basketball Game Preview: Northbrook Raiders vs. Cy-Fair Bobcats

Northbrook is 0-10 against Cy-Fair since January of 2020 but things could change on Saturday. The Northbrook Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cy-Fair Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Northbrook is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Wednesday. They were dealt a 61-29 defeat at the hands of Cypress Creek. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1205th, while the Cougars are ranked 401st).

Meanwhile, Cy-Fair came up short against Cypress Falls on Wednesday, falling 58-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bobcats have suffered against the Eagles since January 9, 2018.

Northbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Cy-Fair, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Northbrook took a serious blow against Cy-Fair when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 47-11. Can Northbrook avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
