            Softball Recap: Deer Valley Skyhawks vs. Greenway Demons        
        
		
        
        
            Deer Valley has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.88  runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit  on Tuesday. They came up short against  the Greenway Demons, falling  16-3. The Skyhawks have struggled against the Demons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.
 Deer Valley got a big performance out of  Priscilla Lopez, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. That  stolen base was  Lopez's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Samantha Romero, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
Deer Valley suffered their first home  loss, dropping their record down to 5-2-1. As for Greenway,  the  win  got them back to even at 2-2-1.
 Looking ahead, Deer Valley will square off against Paradise Honors at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Deer Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so Paradise Honors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Greenway, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Peoria  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Greenway is facing Peoria at the right time seeing as Peoria is stuck on  a  five-game losing streak.
