The home team had won the previous four meetings between Cathedral Catholic and Patrick Henry, and Cathedral Catholic kept the tradition alive. The Dons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Dons: when they faced off against the Patriots on Monday, they had to take a 8-4 defeat.

Cathedral Catholic got a great performance from Levi Uslander as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Uslander has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Cathedral Catholic's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Priest, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Trey Kotsay also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Cathedral Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Patrick Henry, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8-2.

Cathedral Catholic will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
