Volleyball Recap: Wyalusing Valley Starts off Right with Win over Hughesville

Wyalusing Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hughesville Spartans on Saturday. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

While Wyalusing Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 26-24, 25-15.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wyalusing Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Athens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season. Meanwhile, Hughesville will square off against rival Midd-West at 5:30 p.m. on September 2. This will also be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
