Basketball Recap: Sprayberry Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Sprayberry, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-43 win over the Therrell Panthers on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Yellow Jackets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Therrell lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Gordon Davis, who posted ten points and seven rebounds. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Michael Woolridge was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.

The win got Sprayberry back to even at 9-9. As for Therrell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sprayberry will square off against Pope at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sprayberry is facing Pope at the right time seeing as Pope is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Therrell, they will be playing at home against Carver at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
