Basketball Recap: Joseph City Now 21-1 over Last 22 Games

Joseph City had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They beat the St. David Tigers on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 64-36. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 25 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Joseph City to victory were Audrey Neill and Gabrielle Jesmer. Neill on her way to 22 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Jesmer en route to 19 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. What's more, Jesmer also posted a 78% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January. Amber Neill was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Joseph City is on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 43.2 points. St. David's loss dropped their record down to 21-12.

Looking ahead, Joseph City will face off against Fort Thomas at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fort Thomas comes in on seven and Joseph City on three. St. David does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
