Soccer Game Preview: William Monroe vs. Lafayette

William Monroe heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They fell just short of Brentsville District by a score of 1-0. William Monroe have struggled against Brentsville District recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Lafayette waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for Lafayette, who have now won 11 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Lafayette's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those eight matchups. As for William Monroe, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 19-1.
