Softball Recap: Hayesville Yellowjackets vs. Cherokee Braves
Hayesville was the 5-4 winner over Cherokee when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Braves by a score of 7-5 on Friday.
Lucy Trout led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with two runs. Those runs were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Danielle Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Hayesville dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cherokee, their record now sits at 2-3.
