Lompoc has gone a perfect 3-0 against Santa Maria recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Braves will be playing at home against the Saints at 4:00 p.m. Lompoc's defense has only allowed 12.5 points per game this season, so Santa Maria's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Lompoc's offense might be in the hot seat on Wednesday considering what happened against Bakersfield Christian on Saturday. They took a blow against the Eagles, falling 27-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Braves came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Eagles are ranked 356th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Maria). They strolled past Pioneer Valley with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 26-7.

With the loss, Lompoc broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4. As for Santa Maria, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Everything came up roses for Lompoc against Santa Maria in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 38-0 victory. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
