Football Game Preview: Houma Christian Warriors vs. Franklin Hornets

Houma Christian hasn't had much luck against Franklin recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will take on the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Houma Christian has given up an average of 35.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Houma Christian took a blow against Loreauville, falling 47-9. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Tigers are ranked 121st).

Franklin had taken West St. Mary down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Hornets fell 14-8 to the Wolfpack. The Hornets were right on the edge of victory: they outscored the Wolfpack in the fourth quarter 8-0.

Houma Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Houma Christian was taken down by Franklin 38-7 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
