Soccer Recap: Seven Lakes Triumphs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Seven Lakes had no problem doing just that on Thursday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Seven Lakes Spartans who were credited with the victory. The Seven Lakes Spartans got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Fulshear Chargers's two. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Chargers are ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Seven Lakes is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 17-1-4 record this season. With the defeat, Fulshear broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-5-2.

As of now, neither Seven Lakes nor Fulshear have any future games scheduled.
