Basketball Game Preview: Pymatuning Valley Lakers vs. Lakeside Dragons

The Pymatuning Valley Lakers will challenge the Lakeside Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pymatuning Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Lakeside likes a good challenge.

Pymatuning Valley is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Bristol just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 67-64. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lakers have suffered since December 15, 2023.

Meanwhile, Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Madison, falling 77-52. The Dragons were down 59-36 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Pymatuning Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Pymatuning Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lakeside in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 72-68 victory.
