Caravel Academy is a perfect 4-0 against Caesar Rodney since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Buccaneers are taking a road trip to take on the Riders at 4:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Caravel Academy has eight straight victories, Caesar Rodney has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Caravel Academy proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Rising Sun 3-1.

Meanwhile, Caesar Rodney came up short against Delmar on Thursday and fell 5-2.

Caravel Academy pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Caesar Rodney, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Caravel Academy skirted past Caesar Rodney 5-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
