Baseball Game Preview: Dumas Bobcats vs. Monticello Billies

Dumas is 0-6 against Monticello since April of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Dumas Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Monticello Billies at 5:00 p.m.

Dumas is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They came up short against Fordyce, falling 15-0.

Monticello not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12, 2024. They put the hurt on McGehee with a sharp 12-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Billies.

The team relied heavily on Rohan Patel, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Brooks Harvey was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Dumas suffered a grim 17-0 defeat to Monticello when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Dumas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
