Soccer Game Preview: Round Rock vs. Vista Ridge

The Round Rock Dragons are taking a road trip to take on the Vista Ridge Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Round Rock is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Vandegrift on Tuesday. They came up short against the Vipers, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Vipers are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, Vista Ridge waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Warriors.

Vista Ridge pushed their record up to 12-1-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those seven matches. As for Round Rock, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-2.
