Baseball Recap: Cayuga Comes Up Short

Cayuga blew LaPoynor out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday LaPoynor got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of the Flyers by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since April 1st.

Cayuga saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colt Mullican, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Cayuga's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for LaPoynor, they pushed their record up to 15-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

As of now, neither Cayuga nor the Flyers have any future games scheduled.
