Volleyball Recap: Temple Falls to Villa Rica in First Game of Season

Temple had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Villa Rica Wildcats by a score of 2-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Temple might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Villa Rica: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-31, 25-22, 15-12.

Temple didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Haralson County on the 5th. As for Villa Rica, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
