Malvern Prep had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Episcopal Academy Churchmen. The Friars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Churchmen, too.
Malvern Prep got a great performance from Collin Romanczuk as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, Brady Abate was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Jalen Bowman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Malvern Prep pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
