Hughson Thatcher posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out five batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Thatcher and River Valley are taking a road trip to challenge Mineral Point at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pointers will enter the matchup having just beaten Boscobel, so the Blackhawks will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
