Football Game Preview: Snyder Tigers vs. Levelland Lobos + How To Watch

Two dominant wideouts in Aedyn Claxton and Bryson Golightly are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Snyder Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Levelland Lobos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Snyder is looking for their season's first win.

Snyder is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost to Big Spring on the road by a 49-35 margin on Friday.

Despite the loss, Snyder saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Claxton threw for 195 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 79 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Meanwhile, Levelland earned a 40-33 victory over Lake View on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Lobos in their matchups with the Chiefs/Maidens: they've now won four in a row.

Levelland found their leader in sophomore Noah Martin, who rushed for 197 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. Those 197 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Martin. Ethan Salazar was another key player, throwing for 222 yards and three TDs.

Levelland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 192 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Levelland now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Snyder, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Snyder took a serious blow against Levelland in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 55-21. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Martin, who rushed for 177 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries.
