Pompano Beach has gone 7-0-1 against Stranahan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Golden Tornadoes will look to defend their home pitch against the Mighty Dragons at 5:00 p.m.

If Stranahan heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Pompano Beach took over last week. The Golden Tornadoes skirted past Coral Springs 2-1. That's two games straight that Pompano Beach have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Stranahan's season-opener on Tuesday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. They and Piper finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw. The outcome might've been different if Jefferson Monterrosa hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Mairon Sanchez and Christopher Matul scored both of Stranahan's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.
