Recap: Goretti Gael vs. Washington Patriots
After losing to the Washington Patriots the last time they met, the Goretti Gael decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Goretti slipped by Washington 48-47 on Wednesday.
Goretti's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amiyah Fulton, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Bolduc, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Goretti is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
Goretti will head out on the road to face off against Fort Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they will be playing at home against Martinsburg at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Washington is coming into the matchup with three straight losses at home, meaning Martinsburg will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
