Volleyball Recap: Westinghouse Find Success

The Westinghouse Warriors beat Chicago Hope Academy 2-0 on Friday.

Westinghouse easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20.

Leomar Isleno paced Westinghouse's offense, picking up four kills. Isleno got some help from Jorge Moreno and his nine assists. Isleno was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Westinghouse's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Chicago Hope Academy, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Westinghouse wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 tie against Schurz on the 5th. As for Chicago Hope Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Holy Trinity on the 7th.
