Softball Recap: Lewisburg's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Lewisburg had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Madison County Tigers. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Leona-Klaire Stokes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Moss, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

Lewisburg hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in seven consecutive matches.
