Pickens is 0-6 against Seneca since March of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Blue Flame will look to defend their home field against the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Pickens is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Pickens fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Daniel on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 7-6. The loss was the Blue Flame's first of the season.

Kaylee Bolding was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Seneca entered their tilt with Greer on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Yellow Jackets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since March 19, 2024.

Seneca's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pickens, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Pickens might still be hurting after the 12-4 loss they got from Seneca in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can the Blue Flame avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
