Basketball Recap: Lake Region Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Lake Region had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 47-43 W over the Brandon Academy Scorpions on Thursday.

Despite the loss, Brandon Academy still got an impressive performance from Rashad Carriera, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. Carriera has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Aaron Miller-Holmes was another key player, going 6 for 13 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Lake Region's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Brandon Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Lake Region didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-45 loss against Seminole on the 27th. As for Brandon Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-48 victory against Kathleen on the 27th.
