Preview: Chrisman Bears vs. Platte County Pirates
After three games on the road, Chrisman is heading back home. They will take on the Platte County Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
After soaring to a 40-point victory in their last game, Chrisman came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of Belton by a score of 56-54. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Chrisman came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Belton is ranked 213th).
Even though Platte County has not done well against Grain Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Platte County came out on top against Grain Valley by a score of 61-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Platte County.
Chrisman's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10. As for Platte County, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
