Softball Recap: Littleton Comes Up Short

Littleton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-2 in the process. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moultonborough Academy Panthers. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Moultonborough Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

For Moultonborough Academy's part, Evelynn Buy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. With that strong performance, Buy is now averaging an impressive 1.5 stolen bases per game. Sammy Nagle was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Littleton will challenge rival Colebrook Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Moultonborough Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Lisbon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
