The Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 71-66 to the St. Anne's-Belfield Saints. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (57), the Cubs still had to take the loss.

Having lost for the first time this season, Georgetown Visitation Prep fell to 2-1. As for St. Anne's-Belfield, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coming up, Georgetown Visitation Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Flint Hill at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cubs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for St. Anne's-Belfield, they will square off against San Jose Prep at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
