            Basketball Preview: Crestview Rebels vs. Newton Falls Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Crestview is 8-2 against Newton Falls since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Crestview Rebels are taking a road trip to  challenge the Newton Falls Tigers  at 7:00  p.m. Crestview knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Newton Falls likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, Crestview blew past Brookfield, posting  a  64-19 win. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13  matches by 23  points or more this season.

It was another big night for  Addison Rhodes, who  posted 20  points in addition to six  steals and five  rebounds. Her evening made it 13 games in a row in which  she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bri DiCross, who  earned eight points and six  steals.
 Crestview  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 19  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least ten  offensive rebounds in ten consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, Newton Falls can  bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   28-21  victory over Liberty.
 Crestview has also been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.2 points per game. As for Newton Falls, their record now sits at 6-10.
 Everything came up roses for Crestview against Newton Falls in their previous matchup  back in December of 2024, as the  team secured  a  50-11 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crestview since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
