Football Recap: Wiregrass Ranch Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wiregrass Ranch extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 19-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Zephyrhills Bulldogs. The Bulls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Wiregrass Ranch saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Justyn Semczuk made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

As for Zephyrhills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.3 points on average this season.

Roe Miller was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 150 yards on only 15 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 80 yards.

Wiregrass Ranch has already played their next game, a 35-20 defeat against South Sumter on the 12th. As for Zephyrhills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 39-7 victory against Land O' Lakes on the 12th.
