Baseball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Landon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Landon). They put the hurt on the DC International Dragons with a sharp 16-0 victory on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on six straight.

The team relied heavily on James Gibson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Josh Burstein also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Gibson wasn't the only one making solid contact: Landon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Landon's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for DC International, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Landon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 defeat against T.C. Roberson on the 24th. As for DC International, they have also already played their next match, a 7-6 loss against The Heights on the 24th.
