Soccer Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Western Michigan Christian's Winning Streak

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Western Michigan Christian finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Unity Christian Crusaders. The shutout was out of character for Western Michigan Christian seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

With the loss, Western Michigan Christian broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-4-5. As for Unity Christian, they pushed their record up to 13-0-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Western Michigan Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Muskegon at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for Unity Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Zeeland East at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
