In other batting news, Irvington Preparatory Academy got a massive performance out of Aiden Pollock, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Cortez Jenkins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Providence Cristo Rey's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Providence Cristo Rey has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .518.
