Recap: Camden Academy Charter vs. King's Christian
Even though King's Christian scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Camden Academy Charter still came out on top. Camden Academy Charter came out on top in a nail-biter against King's Christian and snuck past 59-56. For Camden Academy Charter, this counts as revenge for the 65-56 loss King's Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.
King's Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jason Brice, who scored 16 points. Brice scored a full 28.6% of King's Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tyshaun Bruce, who scored 13 points.
Camden Academy Charter pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for King's Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-1.
Camden Academy Charter will be home for the holidays to greet Clayton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. King's Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pilgrim Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Pilgrim Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday.
