Basketball Recap: Waterloo Comes Up Short

Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 82-67 to the Parkview Vikings. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in January of 2025.

Waterloo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Parkview, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterloo will head out to square off against Poynette at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Pumas have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Parkview, they are taking a road trip to take on Palmyra-Eagle on Tuesday.
