Basketball Recap: Elgin Snaps 13-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elgin). They walked away with a 56-49 win over the Fairfield Christian Academy Knights on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Comets as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Elgin's win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Elgin will finish 2024 at home by hosting Ada at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fairfield Christian Academy will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Granville Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 30th. Fairfield Christian Academy is facing Granville Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Granville Christian Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
