Volleyball Recap: Myah Eltzroth's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Huntington North over Eastbrook

Huntington North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eastbrook Panthers. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Huntington North lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Myah Eltzroth, who had three digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was McKenzie DeHaven, who had 15 digs.

Huntington North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Eastbrook, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Huntington North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Maconaquah on the 30th. As for Eastbrook, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Fort Wayne Wayne on the 30th.
