Soccer Recap: Southern Cayuga Comes Up Short

Southern Cayuga fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Greene on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty nine goals in the game before, Southern Cayuga couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Braxton Young, who's now up to 14 this season.

Southern Cayuga's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Greene, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Southern Cayuga will be playing in front of their home fans against Newfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Greene, they will head out on the road to challenge Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
