Basketball Recap: West Deptford Takes a Loss

West Deptford lost against Sterling back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Deptford Eagles came up short against the Sterling Silver Knights, falling 81-55. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Silver Knights are ranked 128th).

West Deptford dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Sterling, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

West Deptford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-42 loss against Collingswood on the 23rd. Sterling has also already played their next contest (against Gloucester City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
