Flag Football Game Preview: Bruce Randolph Grizzlies vs. Lincoln Lancers

The Bruce Randolph Grizzlies will venture away from home to take on the Lincoln Lancers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bruce Randolph hasn't scored more than 12 points for nine games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Bruce Randolph is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They secured a 12-6 W over Thomas Jefferson on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Grizzlies have won by exactly six points.

The critical scores for Bruce Randolph came from Devojanae Harper and Ty McPherson.

Bruce Randolph didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of McPherson and Mia Hernandez. McPherson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Lincoln fell victim to Denver North and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were beaten by the Vikings 34-0. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado flag football rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Vikings are ranked 20th).

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Bruce Randolph, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-7.

Bruce Randolph skirted past Lincoln 8-6 in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
