Basketball Recap: Point Loma Comes Up Short

Point Loma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison Warhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-62 back in January.

Madison's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Runnar(rj) Miller, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 14 points and five boards. Tristen Moore was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

Point Loma's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Madison, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Point Loma nor Madison have any future games scheduled.
