Juneau-Douglas entered their tilt with Lathrop on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Malemutes.

Brynn Wheeler was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryanna Eakes, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Juneau-Douglas hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

Juneau-Douglas' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lathrop beat the Crimson Bears by a score of 11-1 later that day.
