Basketball Recap: Collinsville Takes a Loss

Collinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Slidell Greyhounds and fell 77-45. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 93-45 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2017.

Collinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Slidell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collinsville will face off against Tioga at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Slidell, they will head out to take on Lindsay at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Slidell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Lindsay likes a good challenge.
