Volleyball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

Marion lost against Berean Academy on Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Marion fell just short of Berean Academy by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Marion sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 25-16.

Hailey Harshman paced Marion's offense, picking up 11 kills. Harshman really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 15. Kate Watkins controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Berean Academy, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 23-7-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Berean Academy beat Marion by a score of 2-0 later that day.
