Volleyball Recap: Humphreys Able Charter Comes Up Short

Humphreys Able Charter had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 0-6 to make it six. They came up short against the Vanguard College Prep Lions, falling 3-0. The Legacy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Vanguard College Prep, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 27th (when they won 3-0).

Maihlene Santiago went supernova, getting 20 aces. Those 20 aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ingrid Rosas, who had six kills and six aces.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Humphreys Able Charter will take on rival Delta Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Vanguard College Prep is set to square off against their familiar foe Lodi Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
