Baseball Game Preview: Ponca City Wildcats vs. Southmoore SaberCats

For the second straight game, Ponca City will face off against Southmoore. The Wildcats will challenge the SaberCats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Ponca City has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, Ponca City didn't have quite enough to beat Southmoore and fell 2-1. The Wildcats have struggled against the SaberCats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Isaiah Branstetter put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had over his last three matchups. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Southmoore and bumps their season record up to 14-16. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Ponca City, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-22.
