Football Recap: Hilton Head Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Christian Academy dropped to 2-3 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Hammond Skyhawks, falling 56-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

As for Hammond, their record is now 5-0. That looming 56-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hammond to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Muela Kiser, who rushed for 152 yards on only 12 carries, and also threw for 145 yards on only 11 passes. Levi Myers was in the mix as well, providing the Skyhawks with two TDs.

Looking ahead, Hilton Head Christian Academy will challenge Pinewood Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Hammond, they will take on Northwood Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Skyhawks 6, the Chargers 13.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
