Basketball Recap: Jonesport-Beals Comes Up Short

Jonesport-Beals was the 53-39 winner over Shead when they last played one another on January 6th, but their luck changed this time around. The Jonesport-Beals Royals were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 33-32 to the Shead Tigers. The game marked the Royals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Jonesport-Beals' loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Shead, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jonesport-Beals will face off against Woodland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shead, they will take on Lee Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
